On Saturday we spent most of the day at the Hogle Zoo. We went with Rich's parents and his step sister and her 3 kids. Uncle Jesse and his girlfriend Marlene also met up with us. We had a picnic there for lunch. The kids had so much fun being able to play with eachother. The kids enjoyed going on the train and the carasoul probably the most. We were able to see a white crocodile, that was very interesting. The kids were able to drink from the lion drinking fountains. I remember these from when I was younger. The girls were just fascinated with all the animals. Abby was playing peek-a-boo with a Meerkat. We got the kids snow cones, I think Maren enjoyed hers the most. Or at least she was wearing it the most. It was a lot of fun. We were able to see one of the oldest elephants. It was her birthday on saturday and she turned 47. I guess the a average age is 42 or 43. The other elephant there is pregnant. We learned that elephants are pregnant for 21 to 22 months. Ladies could you imagine? UGH! We sure did have a good time.

I love going to zoo's in other states...the animals actually come out and you don't get heat stroke!
