It is official as of yesterday Abby is sporting some new bling in her mouth. That's right she got braces. We went yesterday to talk to an orthodontist about braces and he said she'd definetely benefit from putting them on. She has teeth that are coming in too high and sideways. For now she is only having to have them on her top teeth. They are doing it in two phases. She'll have these on for 8-12 months and then we'll take them off for a couple of years until she is a bit older. Then they'll put them on the top and bottom. She was so excited. Not to mention they gave a free IPOD . If that isn't enticing enough I don't know what is. I'm sure the excitement will last for the first 6 weeks until she goes back in and gets them tightened. I must say she looks pretty cute with them. Congratulations Abby! I hope you stay as excited about them as you were yesterday when you got them on. I didn't think we were going to get them on yesterday so I didn't take my camera. But here are some pictures from when we got home.

I am glad she is happy about the braces. Ben, at age 15, isn't so thrilled with his. He has another year and then he gets them off. He can't wait.
