Pretty in Pink

So today I took Maren to the Orthopaedic Surgeon. Lucky for her it looks like she shouldn't need surgery. She broke her humerous in 2 places. I guess if you're going to do it do it well. That she did. Poor thing they took the splint off and her poor arm was still swollen and had quite a bit of bruising. The doctor said it was still pretty swollen, but they still decided to cast it. After the doctor came in the first time to look at it he walked out and Maren said," I like him, mommy!" They decided to do some more xrays which made my day. I didn't get enough of doing that on Tuesday night. But we survived and so did the radiology tech. Luckily she deals with kids all day, so she was great and did a great job with Maren. After that it was time to do the casting. Of course what color would any 3 year old girl choose but PINK. While they were doing the casting I told the doctor what Maren said when he left the room last time. It must have made his day because his attitude changed completely and he gave her his undivided attention. We have to go in next week for some more xrays and make sure it is healing correctly. So we'll see what they say next week otherwise little miss gets to be pretty in pink for the next 4 weeks or so. Maren I'm so proud of you. You have been such a trooper through this whole thing.
