The 4th of July

I know this is alittle behind the times. But I wanted to make sure it got posted. Before I forget I want all the service men out there to know how much I appreciate all that they do to keep our country safe for us to live in. I'm so greatful to be a citizin of the United States. I'm greatful for all the freedom we enjoy because of the past and present people who have fought for this country. My mom was here for the 4th and we had a good time. We spent the first part of the day packing and going to Home depot and Lowes checking out tile samples. After that we went to get some stuff for a picnic and went to Mesquite High School for their little carnival and firework show. We had a good time listening to all of the music performed by local people. There were some good and some bad. But the kids had a good time listening and dancing. The firework show was great once they actually started. Of course it was 1 out of the what 10 days out of the year that it actully storms here. But it made for a nice night. They started the fireworks for a short amount of time and then there were sparks of ashes that were falling on the crowd in the field. So they had to stop the fireworks for awhile and move everybody to a different location on the field so the wind wouldn't blow the ashes in that direction. It was a little scary. But it all worked out and when it did they had an amazing show. Maren was completely speechless. You all know that doesn't happen. The girls seemed to have a lot of fun.
